Publication Policy

Archiving, preservation, and indexing

What keeps an article findable and readable after publication.

Identifiers

Manuscript ID
Every research object receives a permanent journal identifier (QCAIJ-YEAR-NUMBER) at creation, before submission. It appears in the citation at every stage.
DOI
Metadata for each published article is prepared for Crossref deposit. No DOI prefix is registered yet, so article pages show a DOI only once one exists.
ISSN
Not yet assigned. No ISSN is displayed anywhere on this site until one has been issued.
ORCID
Authors are asked for ORCID identifiers, which are carried into citation exports and deposit metadata where supplied.

Preservation

The publisher retains the full editorial record -- submissions, versions, review correspondence, decisions, and audit log -- as the journal's archive of record. Published articles are retained indefinitely, including retracted ones, which remain available with their retraction notice.

Participation in an external preservation service will be named here once an agreement is in place. The journal makes no preservation claim it cannot evidence.

Indexing and discovery

Article pages expose Highwire-style citation metadata, Schema.org ScholarlyArticle markup, a machine-readable sitemap, and citation exports in BibTeX, RIS, JSON, and MLA, 9th edition, so indexing services and reference managers can read the record correctly.

The journal currently claims no index coverage. Databases that accept the journal will be listed here by name. No impact factor or ranking metric is published, because none has been assigned.

Versions

Every revision creates a labelled version. The version label appears in the citation for any object that is not yet the version of record, so a citation of a moving text names the text it refers to.
